Oz Comic-Con returns to Brisbane and Sydney this September, bringing with it a packed line-up of fan-favourite guests, to both cities.
Attendees can, as always, expect an electric atmosphere, unforgettable cosplay, and immersive pop culture experiences at Comic-Con. . . For the ultimate celebration of fandom across screen, page, and beyond.
Leading the first wave of guests is headliner Alex Brightman – two-time Tony Award nominee, celebrated for his roles in ‘Beetlejuice’ and ‘School Of Rock’ on Broadway.
Then there’s Katie Cassidy, best known as Laurel Lance/Black Canary in the ‘Arrowverse’, and her early appearances at Ruby on ‘Supernatural’. She’ll be joined by DJ Qualls, who has been a part of ‘Supernatural’, ‘Z Nation’, ‘Road Trip’ and ‘The Man In The High Castle’.
Plus, Ty Olsen, beloved for Benny in ‘Supernatural’ and his roles in ‘Wynonna Earp’ and ‘The 100’. . . And Renee O’Connor, known for her role as Gabrielle in ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’, as well as Tara Sands, whose credits span ‘Pokemon’, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, ‘One Piece’, and ‘Hunter x Hunter’.
Cosplayers rejoice – the Oz Comic-Con Championships Of Cosplay returns once more, where cosplayers from across the country will compete for a $1,500 cash prize, and a place in the Hall Of Fame. Artist Alley will also be a must-visit, packed with local and international artists, comic creators and writers.
Throughout the rest of the event, attendees can expect retail vendors, gaming zones, live panels and hands-on workshops. There’ll be pop culture merch, behind-the-scenes storytelling from industry talent, and more.
Elsewhere, there’ll be a Music and Entertainment Stage, a Workshop Theatre, cosplay meet-ups, a drawing competition, bingo and scavenger hunts, a gaming zone and E-sports tournaments, and plenty more.
