'Shaun Of The Dead', 'Paul' and 'Hot Fuzz' legends, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's latest small-screen adventure is the supernatural comedy 'Truth Seekers'.
Arriving on Amazon Prime today, Nick Frost plays loner Gus a broadband installer or as he describes it: "The most boring job you could have."While it maybe a tad stifling, the job does allows Gus to indulge in his hobby: amateur paranormal investigations.
When his boss Dave (played by Simon Pegg) pairs Gus with newbie Elton (Samson Kayo, 'Timewasters') to train him up, Gus is not pleased. "The last thing I need is some clueless, millennial mouth-breather cluttering up my van."
To be fair, Elton wants no part of ghosts either till they encounter Astrid (Emma D'Arcy) and our amateur paranormal investigators go from staking out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals to uncovering a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.
Veteran actor Malcolm McDowell ('Entourage', 'Hereos') plays Gus's father, while the ensemble cast also includes Susie Wokoma ('Crazyhead', 'Chewing Gum'), Julian Barratt ('The Mighty Boosh') and theatre actor Rosalie Craig ('The Light Princess').
