Lockdown Is Ending As Season 8 Of Wentworth Returns Soon

Wentworth season 8 returns to Foxtel 28 July, 2020.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The inmates cannot be kept in isolation forever, with Foxtel's award-winning series 'Wentworth' set to return for its eighth season in July.

After the season 7 finale left fans on the edge of their seats with a siege that saw inmates (including Kosta) murdered by a corrupt guard (Sean Brody), new life born among the chaos (Vera Bennett) and a much loved inmate (Liz) take her final breath, all before the final jaw-dropping scene revealing Joan 'The Freak' Ferguson is very much alive.

When Wentworth returns in 2020, the prison community is still reeling from the aftermath of the bloody siege with a new leader at the helm and four heritage characters from the original 'Prisoner' series set to enter the compound.
