"Something appalling happened here and it's raging inside," teases the trailer to HBO's new drama, mystery miniseries 'The Third Day'.
If you enjoy immersive storytelling and vivid cinematography, once you've watched the trailer to 'The Third Day' – starring Jude Law ('Fantastic Beasts', 'Cold Mountain') – you'll be hooked. Trust.Law portrays Sam, who is drawn into the otherworldly and microcosmic Osea Island off the English coast after rescuing a troubled young girl and accompanying her home. There, he encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost.
The six-part thriller is split into two parts: 'Summer' focuses on Sam, while 'Winter' follows Helen (Naomie Harris, 'Moonlight'), a strong-willed outsider who comes to the same island seeking answers.
The ensemble cast features Emily Watson ('Chernobyl'), Katherine Waterston ('Fantastic Beasts', 'Steve Jobs') and Paddy Considine ('The Outsider', 'House Of The Dragon'). English singer Florence Welsh also has a minor role.
