JJ Abrams is well aware what day it is.
The 'Star Wars Episode VII' director let the cat out of the mystery box a little early last week with the cast photo seen 'round the world, leaving him with nothing new to spruik on May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day, obvi).
Knowing that Star Wars fans will still expect him to throw them some sort of bone on the holiday itself, Abrams has recorded this short video message with screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan (of 'The Empire Strikes Back') fame, wishing them a happy Star Wars Day and promising that there are more casting announcements coming.

That cast photo was a little heavy on the sausage, so it'd be good if the upcoming announcements were able to correct that a little. Lupita Nyong'o, anyone?
