'Scream 5' is due in cinemas January 2022.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Hello again, Sidney… #ImBack.

And with that Insta post from Neve Campbell, everyone's favourite heroine, Sidney Prescott, is back.

It's time for Neve to reprise the role that landed her the title of Scream Queen in the late '90s in Wes Craven's iconic franchise 'Scream'. She has continued the role in three sequels, the last in 2011.

Campbell also added in a statement: "I am beyond excited to step back into the role of Sidney Prescott and return to Woodsboro."

Not only is Sidney returning, but fans will rejoice with news main characters Dewey Riley (David Arquette) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) are returning as well. Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega have also been confirmed to join the cast.

Due January 2022, 'Scream 5' will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who are known as Radio Silence. It's the first time Craven, who died in 2015, won't be directing the famed franchise.

And for those too young to remember the original, Tatum's (Rose McGowan) dog-door death still triggers me to this day. Oops... spoiler alert.
