Status cannot protect secrets. That is the premise of a new HBO limited series 'The Undoing' from 'Big Little Lies' creator David E. Kelley.

Nicole Kidman portrays Grace Fraser, a successful New York therapist with an idyllic family life (devoted husband played by Hugh Grant and a young son - Noah June, 'A Quiet Place' - who attends an elite private school).

Only weeks away from the the release of her first book, a violent murder and a missing husband rocks Grace's world. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself.

"David has created another propulsive series with a fascinating, complicated female role at its centre," Kidman says.

Based on the 2014 book 'You Should Have Known' by Jean Hanff Korelitz, the ensemble cast features Edgar Ramirez ('The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story'), Ismael Cruz Cordova ('Mary Queen Of Scots), Lily Rabe ('American Horror Story'), Noma Dumezweni ('Mary Poppins Returns'), and Donald Sutherland ('The Hunger Games') as Grace's protective father.

'The Undoing' premieres 26 October, 2020. Foxtel is the home of HBO in Australia. 'The Undoing' will also stream on Binge.
