It's deep autumn and Sam (Colin Firth) and Tusker (Stanley Tucci) – partners of 20 years – are on holiday.
Tusker has been diagnosed with young-onset dementia, so lives have changed, jobs given up and plans put on hold. The pair travel across England in their campervan visiting friends, family and places from their past.
As the trip progresses, their individual ideas for the future begin to collide. Secrets are uncovered, plans are unravelled and love is tested like never before. It's becoming apparent that this might be their last holiday together while Tusker is still relatively healthy.
Ultimately, the couple must confront what it means to love one another in the face of Tusker's illness.
'Supernova' was written and directed by Harry Macqueen ('Hinterland') and produced by the award-winners from '45 Years' and 'I Am Not A Witch'.
