Sam Neill will reprise his role as the silver-haired Brett Colby SC when the third season of 'The Twelve' returns next month.

With the series' second season recently receiving two nominations at the 2025 Logie Awards, Best Drama Series and Best Actor In A Drama Series (Neill), the upcoming third instalment of 'The Twelve' dubbed 'Cape Rock Killer' sees things get personal for Colby.

When the husband of a life-long friend is accused of a heinous murder, Colby takes the case despite the obvious conflict of interest.

As the trial gets underway, and viewers are introduced to 12 new characters portraying the jurors (whose own worlds intermingle with the ongoing court proceedings), a deeper mystery from a 1968 cold-case begins to unravel and Colby quickly finds himself navigating treacherous waters.

Joining Neill as third season regulars will be Danielle Cormack ('Wentworth'), Eryn Jean Norvill ('Love Me'), Sarah Peirse ('Offspring'), and William Zappa ('The Dry').

Serving as the jury are Ewen Leslie ('Top Of The Lake China Girl'), Phoenix Raei ('Clickbait'), Hanah Tayeb ('Miles From Nowhere'), Nathalie Morris ('Bump'), Catherine Moore ('How To Please A Woman'), Bolude Watson ('Hearts And Bones'), Bessie Holland ('Fisk'), Stuart Daulman ('Utopia'), Paul Tassone ('Poker Face'), Charles Napoleon An ('Last King Of The Cross'), Libby Stone (The Claremont Murders) and newcomer Claire Leach.

'The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer' premieres 4 August on Binge and Foxtel's Showcase with new episodes dropping weekly.
