First Watch: Robin Wright Makes Her Directorial Debut With 'Land'

Robin Wright directs and stars in 'Land', which is coming to Australian cinemas soon.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

American actress Robin Wright ('House Of Cards', 'Wonder Woman', 'Moneyball') makes her directorial debut in the drama film 'Land'.

Wright also portrays the central character, Edee Holzer, who experiences a near-death experience in the wilderness after escaping her past life in the aftermath of an unfathomable event.

Edee finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she once knew and in the face of that uncertainty, retreats to the magnificent, but unforgiving, wilds of the Rockies.

After a local hunter (Demián Bichir: 'The Bridge', 'The Grudge') brings her back from the brink of death, Edee must find a way to live again by searching for meaning in the vast and harsh American wilderness.

The movie also features Kim Dickens ('Fear The Walking Dead', 'Treme').

'Land' is coming to Australian cinemas soon.
