Jennifer Lawrence stars as Maddie, a financially strapped, vehicle-less Uber driver who stumbles upon an intriguing job listing from wealthy 'helicopter' parents looking for someone to 'date' their 19-year-old introverted son Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman, who played the title character in the Broadway version of 'Dear Evan Hansen')."His parents said and I quote 'if I date their son' they'd give me a Buick Regal," quips Maddie.
With plenty of LOLs alongside cringy yet edgy moments of awkwardness, Maddie quickly finds Percy a tougher challenge.
"I'm gunna teach you how to have fun!" "Am I even allowed to be here?"
Maddie has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.
