"Prepare the royal jet, we are going back to America!" "Oh hell no your majesty!". Oh, hell, yes!
The official trailer has just dropped for 'Coming 2 America', the sequel that sees Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall reprise their roles from the 1988 original, 'Coming To America'; see what they did there.Murphy's character Akeem Joffer, who is set to become the king of Zamunda, embarks on another journey to Queens, New York, with his trusted confidante Semmi (Hall) after Akeem learns about a son he never knew he had.
Plus, his royal father's (James Earl Jones) dying wish is for Akeem to groom this son as the crown prince (his daughter is ineligible to take over the throne since Zamunda law only allows a male heir to take the throne – wonder how that'll be treated being it's 2020 and all).
Jermaine Fowler ('Superior Donuts') portrays Akeem's son Lavelle, a street-savvy Queens native, while Tracy Morgan is Lavelle's uncle Reem.
Other cast members include Wesley Snipes ('Blade'), Kiki Layne ('The Old Guard'), and Leslie Jones ('Ghostbusters'), with Rick Ross and Davido playing themselves.
'Coming 2 America' will be released on 5 March via Amazon Prime Video after studio Paramount sold the movie to the streaming service.
