First Trailer: Sam Neill & Michael Caton Star In Heartwarming Aussie Movie 'RAMS'

'RAMS' is a new Australian movie featuring Michael Caton (left) and Sam Neill.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Two estranged, warring brothers. A flock of award-winning sheep. Sticking your middle finger to 'the man'. The new Australian drama 'RAMS' couldn't get more ocker even if it tried.

Directed by veteran Jeremy Sims ('Last Cab To Darwin') and with Sam Neill and Michael Caton headlining the cast, 'RAMS' is set in remote Western Australia and centres around Colin (Neill) and Les (Caton), who are at war.

The estranged brothers, living in the same region, raise separate flocks of sheep, who descend from their family's prized bloodline. However, when one of Les's sheep is diagnosed with a rare and lethal illness chaos is unleashed when authorities deem a cull of all sheep in the valley.

Colin will do anything to stealthily outwit the powers that be, even housing his prized rams indoors. While Les opts for angry defiance. But as 'the man' circles, will the brothers put aside their bitter feud to save their herd and reunite their family in the process?

The ensemble cast features BAFTA Award winner Miranda Richardson, Asher Keddie (Dr Nina Proudman in 'Offspring') and Wayne Blair ('Redfern Now' and 'The Sapphires').
