The thirteenth version of global juggernaut franchise ‘The Office’ takes place in our very own backyard – and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime from this October.
The Australian take on ‘The Office’ is the first in the world to have a female lead, with Felicity Ward at the helm as Hannah Howard. Hannah is the Managing Director of packaging company Finley Craddick.
When news hits that Head Office will be shutting down her branch and making everyone work from home, Hannah goes into survival mode – making promises she can’t keep with the goal of keeping her ‘work family’ together. The Finley Craddick staff indulge her, and must endure Hannah’s outlandish plots as they work toward the impossible targets which have been set for them.
The first season of the Australian ‘The Office’ will feature eight episodes, starring Ward alongside Edith Poor, Steen Raskopoulos, Shari Sebbens, Josh Thomson, Jonny Brugh, Susan Ling Young, Raj Labade, Lucy Schmidt, Zoe Terakes, Pallavi Sharda, Susie Youssef, Claude Jabbour, Justin Rosniiak, Carlo Ritchie, Rick Donald and Chris Bunton.
While many aspects of the workplace have changed since ‘The Office’ was first created more than 20 years ago, the office is a timeless precinct for comedy. The universal appeal has seen the BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning cult comedy remade for audiences around the world.
‘The Office’ is available to stream on Amazon Prime from 18 October.
