A teaser trailer for the upcoming HBO Original ‘Harry Potter’ series is here.
The trailer comes shortly after a selection of influencers and personalities were invited to the set of the upcoming show, creating new buzz for ‘Harry Potter’ which has been in production since July of last year.
In it, we see a bunch of familiar faces including of course the Golden Trio (Harry, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger), Draco Malfoy, Minerva McGonagall, Albus Dumbledore, Professor Snape, and more.
While taking obvious cues from the iconic eight-film series starring Daniel Radcliffe, the show is taking a fresh new direction, with the Hogwarts in this iteration looking arguably much more like the Hogwarts from the 2023 video game ‘Hogwarts Legacy’.
The series, releasing at Christmas this year (much earlier than anticipated), will have eight episodes, and is said to be a much more in-depth, faithful adaptation to the original books.

On his 11th birthday, a letter of admittance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry opens up a hidden world for Harry: one of fun, friendship and magic. But with this new adventure comes great risk as Harry is forced to face a dangerous enemy from his past.
The series stars Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger) and Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley).
’Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone’ debuts only on HBO Max, Christmas 2026.
