One of the best crime, black comedy television series of all time, the legendary 'Fargo' is back with a fourth season that kicks off this week on SBS.
With the previous three series taking place in various decades ('70s, '90s, '10s) in a shared universe centred around Midwestern United States, the latest incarnation of 'Fargo' is set in 1950 Kansas City, Missouri.Based around two crime syndicates – one African American, one from the Italian mafia – as they vie for control, Chris Rock plays Loy Cannon – who fronts a group of black migrants fleeing the Jim Crow South who have a contentious relationship with the Kansas City mafia.
Other cast members include Jessie Buckley ('Taboo', 'Chernobyl'), Jason Schwartzman ('Isle of Dogs', 'Bored To Death'), Ben Whishaw ('No Time To Die', 'Paddington'), Jack Huston ('Boardwalk Empire', 'Mr Mercedes'), Glynn Turman ('The Wire', 'House Of Lies'), and Timothy Olyphant ('Deadwood', 'Justified').
Season 4 of 'Fargo' screens on SBS with a double episode premiere on 8 October (8.30pm). New episodes will be available at SBS On Demand each week on the same day as broadcast.
