She wizzed into Hollywood on a broomstick as Hermione Granger in the 'Harry Potter' movies, now the grown-up lass is taking on the role of Belle in Disney's 'Beauty And The Beast'.
Adored by men and women alike, Emma Watson is talented, beautiful, caring and intelligent – all the qualities a Disney Princess needs. Taking to Facebook to describe her childhood dream come true role as Belle, Emma wrote: “I’m finally able to tell you ... that I will be playing Belle in Disney’s new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to (songs) Be Our Guest and sing Something There. My six-year-old self is on the ceiling — heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it.”
Production on the live-action film is due to begin later in the year where the 24-year-old will don the iconic yellow gown.
First linked to the part in late 2011, Warner Bros. stalled the project tentatively titled 'Beast' last summer. Disney exectulives quickly jumped on Watson for their own version with Bill Condon ('The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' Part 1 and Part 2) at the helm.
We don't know when 'Beauty And The Beast' will be in cinemas, but we'll let you know when we do.
