Earlier this year, Music SA and the Government of South Australia’s Music Development Office presented Clip Combat, an initiative to encourage South Australian filmmakers under the age of 26 to build awareness of local SA musicians by submitting a music video to the Clip Combat! competition.
Now, the finalists have been announced and the stage has been set for the final round of Clip Combat.
To determine the winner of the competition, the finalists in each category (Open and High School) will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, along with YOU, the public.
Watch the video, put your vote in and come join us at the Mercury Theatre on the 18th of July, from 5 30 to watch the finalists go head to head in a music video clash!
We will also be hosting the exclusive premiere of the documentary 'Adelaide:City of Music'. Headed up by Steve Pitkin & Jessi Tilbrook of Music SA, the two approached local muralist Dave Court, along with local filmmaker Lewis Brideson, to create the Adelaide CBD's largest public art mural.
Paying tribute to Adelaide's designation as a UNESCO City of Music, the team decided the mural would be best inspired by iconic South Australian contemporary musicians and industry practitioners spanning over the past 6 decades.
This will be the first showing of the groundbreaking documentary. Funded by the City of Adelaide, the Music Development Office and the Office of the UNESCO Adelaide City of Music.
Free & limited RSVP tickets available via Moshtix. For more information about the all-ages, free event head here!
