The upcoming second Cine Latino Film Festival will showcase films from Central and South America at Palace Cinemas in six of Australia’s capital cities.
This year’s festival will also include the Cine Argentina Sidebar, featuring new films from the country.
Among the first announcements is 'Guilty Men' (Pariente) from director/writer Iván Gaona. The Colombian film is the country’s entry for the 90th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film. It follows “a trucker/DJ engaging in a dangerous game with Santander’s paramilitaries, as he attempts to reunite with a former flame.”
The full programme for the festival will be announced later in the month, with the festival to premiere in Sydney on 14 November, before opening in other cities over the next week.
