After literally years of fanboy anticipation, it's here — the first trailer for the 'Godzilla' reboot.
The last time the big lizard was given the Hollywood treatment, in Roland Emmerich's 1998 suckfest 'Godzilla', it didn't work out so well. It went so poorly, in fact, that in 2004's 'Godzilla: Final Wars', Japanese studio Toho went out of their way to depict the original Godzilla defeating the American Godzilla in under a minute.

This time around, though, we have faith that they might have gotten it right. Director Gareth Edwards ('Monsters') is a perfect choice for this material, and the Oscar-calibre cast includes Bryan Cranston, David Strathairn, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olson.
You don't see much of the beast in this trailer (though you see far more of him than you did in trailers for the 1998 disaster), but you do see lots of Bryan Cranston running around looking terrified. And we'll always take some Bryan Cranston when it's offered to us.
