The program for the fifth Brisbane Underground Film Festival (BUFF) has been released, with three days of diverse and thought-provoking films screening at Brisbane Powerhouse from January 8.
Brisbane film icon and underground filmmaker Andrew Leovold will be featured on opening night, in the world premiere screening of documentary 'Gone Lesbo Gone', about the making of his now legendary debut, 'Lesbo-A-Go-Go'. Following close behind is 'Lil Bub & Friendz', an adorable documentary about the cutest and most famous cats in the world, including Grumpy Cat, Keyboard Cat and Nyan Cat.
All features will be screened with Australian short films.
Festival director Nina Riddel urges Brisbanites looking for a good time to be adventurous in their viewing choices this year. “Brisbane’s screen culture is changing all the time, and BUFF remains committed to contributing to the diversity of good things you can see on a big screen in Brisbane.”
