Brisbane's Alliance Française French Film Festival Opening Night Gala

Hundreds of movie lovers attended the gala opening of the 26th Annual Alliance Française French Film Festival at the Palace Centro on Friday night.

Following the screening of festival opener, 'Gemma Bovery' (Directed by Anne Fontaine), the stylishly dressed cinema buffs squeezed into a transformed undercover carpark to drink French champagne, eat canapés and party the night away. A jazz band delivered some mellow grooves with a smoky-voiced singer keeping the atmosphere locked on cool. The French wine flowed and the serving staff were kept busy feeding the hungry hoard. The smiles said plenty. Winners are grinners.
