Filmmakers from all over Brisbane will go head to head to see who can make the best short film in just 48 hours.
The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2016 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.

Registrations are now open for Brisbane filmmakers to join more than 60,000 others from across the world in this year’s 48 Hour Film Project. The first 50 teams to register will have their films shown on the big screen at Myer Center’s VMAX cinema, as well as a chance to share in over $10,000 in prizes on the night.

The films will then be judged by a panel of esteemed judges from the local industry. Judges this year will include Shayne Armstrong and Shane Krause, Writers on the hit shark blockbuster 'Bait 3D', as well as Mark Overett, Producer of 'Iron Sky'.

The rules are simple; teams arrive at the 'Kick-Off Event' and are assigned a random film genre plus three required elements they must include in their film. At 7pm they are let loose into the city of Brisbane to create their masterpieces. They have until 7.30pm on Sunday to hand their film in.
