Zaniacs of Brisbane and Adelaide rejoice, for 'The Ghost Who Walks' Mr Billy Zane joins the cast of Supanova Comic Con & Gaming in November.
Beloved for his turn as purple-clad, skull-ring wearing hero 'The Phantom', yet reviled for what he did to Leo on 'The Titanic' in his role as villainous Caledon 'Cal' Hockley (there's blood on your hands, Hockley!), Billy Zane is an American film icon.
Zane has maintained a consistent film presence since his debut in 'Back To The Future' (1985) and is set to portray legendary actor Marlon Brando in the upcoming biopic 'Waltzing With Brando'.
Joining Zane at Supanova in Brisbane and Adelaide will be King Of The Crossroads Mark Sheppard, who plays the demon Crowley in TV series 'Supernatural', along with pop culture sweetheart Amy Acker who rose to stardom for her role as Winifred 'Fred' Burkle and Illyria the Merciless in 'Angel', before going on to star in 'Dollhouse' and 'The Gifted.
Another Buffyverse favourite Julie Benz is also confirmed, best known for her role as Darla in 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel', as well as her roles in 'Defiance' and the award-winning 'Dexter'.
The film and TV fun doesn’t stop there, with Paul Amos of 'Lost Girl' and 'Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate' fame also scheduled to appear across both shows.
Meanwhile, Supanova continues its trend of enlisting voice acting royalty, confirming Linda Ballantyne (the titular heroine in 'Sailor Moon'), Katie Griffin (fellow Sailor Scout, Sailor Mars) and Jen Brown ('RWBY').
With 'The Goon' celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, series creator, American comic book writer and artist Eric Powell, will make the trip to Adelaide and Brisbane, while international cosplay star Meagan Marie rounds out the first of Supanova’s November guest announcements.
Supanova is a celebration of fandom, where the worlds of film and television, fantasy, comic books, anime, sci-fi, cartoons, books, gaming and collectables comes to life.
