... Well, sort of. Reports have emerged that Fox is looking to cast "a 10-year-old Bruce Wayne" for their upcoming series, 'Gotham'.

Announced earlier this year, 'Gotham' is a prequel series that will follow the origin stories of Commissioner Gordon and the city's infamous villains.

Set long, long before Bruce Wayne pulls on the cape and cowl, the first season will reportedly focus on rookie homicide detective Jim Gordon's investigation into the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne (Batman's parents, as if anyone clicked on this article who didn't already know that).

Not just a bit of fan bait for the pilot ep, the young Bruce will reportedly be a regular cast member (which means that his de facto dad, Alfred Pennyworth, almost certainly will be as well).

While we'd love to see Fox troll the internet by casting a mo-capped Ben Affleck as the young Bruce Wayne, that doesn't seem very likely.

But hey, how hard can it be to cast a 10-year-old version of a character that will go on to become one of fiction's greatest badasses?
