Barack Obama Gets Advance Copies Of Your Favourite TV Shows

Barack Obama
Arts Editor and Senior Writer (many years until 2012)
If we were the President of the United States, this is EXACTLY how we would use that power.

The New York Times reports that, at a recent state dinner, President Barack Obama asked HBO Chief Executive Officer Richard Plepler for advance copies of 'True Detective' and 'Game Of Thrones'.

Obama reportedly plans to watch these treasures "over the holiday weekend", and since that holiday is Presidents Day, that sounds fair enough to us.

'True Detective' has three episodes left to run, while the fourth season of 'Game Of Thrones' won't even premiere until April 2.

But if you're worried the President might spoil anything for you — like, for instance, what the hell 'The King In Yellow' has to do with anything in 'True Detective' — you can rest easy. He's not a fan of spoilers. Good lookin' out, Barry.
