Coming to Netflix on 6 February, ‘Apple Cider Vinegar’, starring Kaitlyn Dever, tracks Australian wellness entrepreneur and scammer Belle Gibson, in a roller coaster of lies and deception.

The story is set at the birth of now iconic social media platform Instagram – two young women are setting out to cure their life-threatening illnesses using the miracles of health and wellness, as they influence their global online communities along the journey.

It’s an incredibly inspiring story – at least, it would be, if it were all true.

‘Apple Cider Vinegar’ is a true-ish story, based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire, the culture which built it up, and the people who tore it down.

The limited series was shot in Melbourne, directed by Jeffrey Walker (‘The Clearing’, ‘The Artful Dodger’, ‘Modern Family’) and stars Kaitlyn Dever, Alicia Debnam-Carey, and Aisha Dee. It will celebrate a global premiere event in Sydney, where cast will walk the red carpet.

‘Apple Cider Vinegar’ premieres on Netflix 6 February.
