Al – the chef – on tv classic sitcom 'Happy Days' has died.


Al Molinaro's son confirmed his father's death telling entertainement site TMZ the actor had very bad gall stones, but elected not to have surgery due to his age. He was 96.

Al the actor played Al the owner of Arnold's Drive-In, one of the central sets of the decade-long series. Happy Days was responsible for well-known pop culture identities Richie Cunningham, Potsie and most famously The Fonz.

Molinaro also played the Big Al role on the spinoff, 'Joanie Loves Chachi'. In the mid '90s Weezer put him in their 'Buddy Holly' music video.

RIP Al. Yep yep yep yep yep.
