Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Mr Christian Grey himself, Jamie Dornan ('Private War', 'The Fall', 'Wild Mountain Thyme') has signed on as the lead actor of new BBC-Stan Original series 'The Tourist', which is set to commence filming in South Australia in the first part of 2021.

The six-part drama series (from Two Brothers Pictures: 'Fleabag', 'The Missing') follows a British man (known as The Man) played by Dornan who, after losing his memory, undertakes a quest into the Australian desert to unlock the secrets of his identity before those who are trying to kill him catch up with him.

Set to inject more than $12 million into the local economy, HBO Max has also signed on as the US partner for the series.

"'The Tourist' are some of the most exciting scripts I've ever read," Jamie says. "I can't wait to go to Australia with such a talented group of people."

The ensemble cast will feature Danielle Macdonald ('Lady Bird', 'I Am Woman') as a fledgling probationary constable, Shalom Brune-Franklin ('Bad Mothers', 'Roadkill') as a waitress swept into The Man's journey for answers, and veteran Hugo Weaving ('The Matrix', 'Patrick Melrose') as a detective inspector.

"I'm very excited to be slipping into the skin of one of the fabulously idiosyncratic characters who people the desert landscape of 'The Tourist'," Hugo says.

"The scripts are wonderful. Dark and shocking, surprising and hilarious and always very human. This is a tonally uniquely project and should be an unforgettable ride and shoot for us all."
