5 Favourite Netflix Series With TRFK

TRFK supports Cashmere Cat in Adelaide.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Fresh off his appearance at Oh Yes Festival, Adelaide beat-maker TRFK's next major support is with Grammy-nominated, genre-slicing artist Cashmere Cat.

Before the show later this week, TRKF shows off his recent Netflix viewing habits. Time to bunker down with the couch guys.

1. 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

The worst but best detectives in Brooklyn: dysfunctional family vibes, side-splitting comedy, ridiculously unrealistic situations, all with a twist of romance. Need I say more?

2. 'Fresh Meat'

Pinnacle of British comedy. House full of odd uni students in the north of England; constant fights, edgy comedy, with realistic college-student references. Definitely not one for the kids to watch; leaves you thinking that you’re living in the house too.

3. 'Rake'

Corrupt law comedy making light of dark situations, winning impossible cases with hail-mary spec defences. Violence, drugs, sex and prison. The best Aussie comedy has to offer.

4. 'White Gold'

Window frame salesmen in the '80s cheating families, young couples and pensioners out of thousands for useless plastic-window frames; a lot funnier than how I described it. Going from rags to richest with plenty of close calls and laughs along the way. Five stars. Should make more.

5. 'Riverdale'

Murder mystery, family drama, not comedy. A boy from a well known and feared family is killed. Manhunt to find the culprit. A lot of fingers pointed, high school hierarchy and ends on a twist. Perfect combination of cliff hanger, jealousy and unmissable. Season 2 is gonna be off-tap.

TRFK supports Cashmere Cat at Fat Controller (Adelaide) 1 December.
