With members also involved with other WA bands (ie. Cold Meat, Helta Skelta) Nerve Quakes have been peddling their brand of post-punk for the last couple of years.
The band are now ready to launch their debut album, 'A New State'. But not before the band indulges you their love of all things 'Buffy: The Vampire Slayer'. Bless their socks.

5. Villains
Willow goes evil. This episode feels like a decent, horror film like 'Carrie' and just when you think she won't execute her revenge, she does in a pretty violent way. Good comment on gun violence too.{youtube}RZj4TxB7DKI{/youtube}
4. The Wish
Willow is evil again. No Buffy in town due to a wish granted by vengeance demon Anya. Xander and Willow are vampires who torture Angel for fun. Everyone is killed in this episode, even when Buffy arrives in Sunnydale. Giles saves the day though.{youtube}e41XFP-A5eU{/youtube}
3. Hush
Amazing-looking demons in this episode, The Gentlemen, who take everyone's voice in town while they sleep so they can remove your heart without complaint. There is a real Tim Burton, Danny Elfman feel to 'Hush'. Great score almost completely silent and excellent practical effects.{youtube}KKfNuMWO128{/youtube}
2. Once More, With Feeling
The great thing about a musical episode in 'Buffy' was that it was so unexpected, but the songs were actually decent. Joss Whedon wrote and directed the episode along with all the songs. Nice homages to Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights' and Peggy Lee's 'Fever'. Great demon too.{youtube}j2rheMw1X4Y{/youtube}
1. Chosen
I (Caleb) used to work in television in Canberra as a presentation co-ordinator. The job is to make sure that the programme feed from Sydney is correctly beamed to other cities on the east coast. If you're not careful or don't really give a shit about your job and don't pay attention you can easily put the wrong thing to air.After the second last commercial break on the season finale of 'Buffy' I didn't notice that the programme was going to switch to AFL. It did and thousands of people received football instead of the end of 'Buffy'. I didn't realise until it was too late. It was such an epic fuck-up that I just laughed and laughed. I could feel the hate and sadness of thousands of people directed at their TVs.
The station re-aired the finale with an apology the next week. Some of my friends were watching that night and they're still mad about it.
