4 Baddies Played By The Late And Great Christopher Lee

Christopher Lee as Count Dooku
Founder and Publisher. Based in Brisbane.
Howard started Scene Magazine in 1993. Paul Keating was Prime Minister. Whitney, Janet and Mariah all had Aussie #1s and Mark Zuckerberg was 9. He (Howard, not The Zuck) likes Star Trek and a good Oxford Comma – way too much fun at parties.

Actor Christopher Lee died this week after a celebrated life playing baddies and nasties.

At the ripe old age of 93 he'd seen service in World War II which included macabre work in the reconciliation of concentration camp atrocities.

Post-war he declined an offer with his pre-war employer and launched into his acting career. Among myriad film and musical credits on the back of raw talent, imposing looks and a deep voice, we're revisiting four classic Lee characters.

Dracula

The title character and primary antagonist of Bram Stoker's 1897 Gothic horror novel Dracula. He is considered to be both the prototypical and the archetypical vampire in subsequent works of fiction.
Dracula

Francisco Scaramanga

The main antagonist in the James Bond's The Man with the Golden Gun. Scaramanga's signature weapon is a golden gun.

Saruman the White

He is leader of the Istari and antagonist in J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings.
Sarumen The White

Count Dooku a.k.a. Darth Tyranus or Lord Tyranus

The Star Wars universe's antagonist of Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Once a respected Jedi Master, he falls to the dark side of the Force and becomes Darth Sidious's second apprentice, the founder of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the instigator of the Clone Wars.
