Winter Is Coming... With The Design Market

GOMA: Winter Design Markets

The QAGOMA Store in South Brisbane will hold the ever-popular Winter Design Markets on Saturday July 19.

With more stall holders than ever before, the popular markets will take over the GOMA entrance and the Bodhi Tree Terrace from 9am until 4pm for one day only.

Featuring more than 40 local artists and designers, the market will showcase the creativity of Brisbane’s thriving craft and design community through jewellery, ceramics, textiles, homewares, paper products and more.

Ceramics and jewellery continue to be a focus, with a wide range available from Paper Boat Press, Liana Kabel, Barbara Heath, Spun Mud, Clairy Laurence, Jennifer Orland and Sydney’s Pip Keane.

There will also be plenty of homewares and textiles on offer, from Touch Wood Design’s quirky postage stamp cushions to Zillpa’s clever rope bowls, Bravo Juliet Designs’ resin vases, Yardage Design’s beautifully screenprinted linens, as well Indigenous weaving and fibre arts from Gapuwiyak Aboriginal Arts Centre in Arnhem Land.

The market coincides with ‘Harvest: Art, Film + Food’ showing at GOMA from June 28 until September 21.
