Top 5 If Dogs Were Human List

The Bergamasco

Bringing back the fundraiser, Rare Cuts Volume 1 is the first in a series of Brisbane gigs that will feature local bands and DJs with all profits going to a charity of choice.

The first Rare Cuts takes place on Saturday 13th September will all funds raised donated to DV Connect, a not-for-profit outfit that arrange assistance such as counselling, intervention, transport and emergency accommodation for Queenslanders who are in danger from a violent partner or family member. They also assist in moving between 12 and 20 pets to safety each month.

One of the bands playing, Karl Stefanovic's Dog, have provided a top five list of ‘if dogs were human’. Stay with us now...

Chow Chow

Like President Kim Jong-un, Chow Chow’s are aggressive and renowned to be easily provoked. They’re fiercely protective of their property and hate strangers.

Schnauzer

We feel like if Schnauzer’s could speak they would sound like Billy Connolly. They’d have a broad Glaswegian accent and bark out sharp, witty comments, which would have us clutching our guts in laughter.

Bergamasco

Well both Whoopi Goldberg and the Bergamasco have similar names and similar hair styles, right? We also feel that if the Bergamasco was a human, it would have an amazingly infectious laugh and just be an all-round rad kinda lady, like Whoopi is.

Irish Wolfhound

Irish Wolfhound’s can be imposing because of their size, but they are generally considered to be introverted, intelligent and reserved in character. On first impressions, Alan Rickman seems pretty scary probably because of his amazing portrayal of Snape, but we think that he would actually be a really genuine dude who you could have deep and meaningful late-night conversations with over red wine. Or a bone.

French Bulldog

French Bulldogs get scared of their own farts and so does Ricky Gervais! But they both have kind eyes and cute button noses. French Bullies are said to be affectionate, loyal and sweet in nature, and we are pretty sure Ricky would be like this too considering his strong stance on marriage equality and his support of various animal protection campaigns.

Rare Cuts Volume 1 takes place at The Underdog Pub in Fortitude Valley on Saturday 13th September with an eclectic line-up featuring post everything musical project Cured Pink, punk-funk super group Deadshred, five-piece electronic girl band Shooga, riff raff crooners Karl Stefanovic’s Dog and snotty punk trio Bottlecock.
