The Night the River Sings

Kookaburra Queen on Brisbane River

Lights, tinsel, choirs, brass bands and all the Christmas works will be floating down Brisbane River Sunday December 16 with a convoy of vessels coming together to celebrate the christmas season with “the Night the River Sings” and put on a festive display best seen from the South Bank foreshore.

Lady Brisbane will commence the voyage, on a journey to collect fellow vessels all decked out with christmas cheer from 6:30pm until 9:00pm. Everyone is encouraged to put on the trusty elf or santa costume or simply embrace the classic rain-deer singlet and jump on board a Kookaburra River Queen Boat. General Admission will get you a leisurely buffet dinner and the oppurtunity to lap southbank with green and red flashing lights and hang out with crew from 96.5 and all their listeners who got on for free!

Christmas Carols and the Salvation Army Brass Band will be on board to create an atmosphere to reflect the christmas joy and to ensure a great night for families and friends with lights and light music to embrace the festive season!
