For the past two Thursdays, Melbourne’s oldest market has been transformed at twilight into a magical night market.
Now in its sixth year, South Melbourne Night Market is set to continue for another six Thursdays. Set amid the beautiful Victorian streetscape of Cecil and Coventry Streets in South Melbourne, the Night Market offers something unique for music lovers, foodies and shoppers alike.
On the music front, the line-up of bands will include: Whitaker, Mighty Duke And The Lords, La Rumba, Funk Buddies and Sarah Carnegie.
For foodies, Melbourne’s tastiest stalls and trucks will take over serving up culinary delights to satisfy every taste bud including: White Guy Cooks Thai, Chingon Taco Truck, Overdosa, Greek Street Food, The Snag Society, Happy Camper Pizza and Yogurddiction.
While shoppers will be kept busy at the creative hub SO:ME Space, which will welcome people in to check out the best emerging and established designers including: Mr Simple, The SuperCool, Lost In Seasons, Kreel, Bakerlite, LO & Behold and Stone Glint & Bone as well as alternating pop-up stores.
The South Melbourne Night Market runs each Thursday from 5.30-9pm until 5 March.
