With 2015 marking its tenth anniversary, special guest artist and papercraft designer, Beck Beattie will share her scrapbooking tips and tricks during daily classes and demonstrations, including mixed media techniques and and incorporating gelato colours on a reverse canvas.
Another guest is the effervescent and enthusiastic international workshop instructor and author, Jane Davenport who'll showcase her mixed media techniques from her book, 'Drawing And Painting Beautiful Faces'.
Queensland’s Alyce Keegan, an award-winning YouTube, Facebook and blogging-crafting sensation, believes craft stimulates the imagination and relieves stress. Another Queensland local with a passion and knowhow for all things paper, Kerrie Gurney will reveal how anyone can create an original and personalised two-page layout to preserve precious travel memories. The crafty mother of three and blogger explains there are no mistakes in paper craft, just unique creations made with love. While the Tutor’s Design Showcase, an Expo favourite, will represent Australia’s top tutors in the field with an inspiring display of their best work.
Papercraft lovers are also invited to get Insta-famous, at the Art with Heart jumbo wall-heart. Visitors are invited to make their own paper flower at home to pin onto the giant heart, take a selfie with the hashtag #lovepaper and share on social media. There will also be a wide variety of craft stock available for purchase, to ensure that if the scrapbooking bug bites, you can pick-up whatever you need.
The Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo is at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre 6-8 June.
