Legendary Disgraced Toronto mayor Rob Ford is in hot water again after saying that women only want money for Christmas.
During his weekly appearance on Washington radio show Sports Junkies, Ford was asked what he planned to give his wife for Christmas. His answer — "just money" — was pretty straightforward.
"Women love money," said Ford, the actual mayor of an actual city. "You give them a couple of thousand bucks and they're happy."
Showing his thoughtful side, Ford added that he does plan to buy his wife "some treats on the side", but clarified that his big gift to her would be "a nice cheque".
"I get a basket and flowers and a little bit of this and that, but at the end of the day, she wants her cash. So I give her a nice cheque and we're all happy."
Ford's publicity-shy wife, Renata — who, believe it or not, does actually exist — was last seen by Ford's side when he publicly apologised for responding to allegations about oral sex by telling reporters he had "more than enough to eat at home".
There are still 12 days to go in 2013. We have a feeling Rob Ford's got a few more moments like this up his sleeve before we ring in the new year.
