Pozee: A New Accessory For Singles

In a world where winks, pokes and text messages have come to replace real human connection, a new iPhone app is fighting the trend.

Pozee6Pozee, which launched in Australia in November, has found the solution to getting singles to interact the old fashioned way through conversation and chemistry. The first mobile application designed to encourage singles to put down their phone, look up and re-engage with the people around them, Pozee's co-founder, Joanna Hays, says more people around growing tired of impersonal correspondance. “They are also becoming acutely aware of the permanence of the content shared through the web and its repercussions for their personal and professional lives.”

By using your phone’s location services, Pozee enables singles to identify each other at a venue and discreetly show their interest in meeting face-to-face. The onus is then on either party to approach the other in normal conversation.

“When you eliminate the uncertainty about whether another person is single and open to being approached, you remove a large part of the fear of rejection that often holds people back from approaching one another. And with the private feature, users can control who they would like to approach them.”

Currently available in Australia only, Pozee's success so far is seeing plans for release in the US soon and the rest of the world shortly after.

So find out who's single around you right now and go talk to them thanks to Pozee.
