The popular board game, Monopoly, has joined forces with Swedish pop royalty ABBA to release a special edition of the money-based game.
The basic principles for the board game, which will be titled 'ABBA Monopoly', are the same as they have been since its creation in the 1930s. But with this special edition, instead of streets, you buy single records, and instead of real estate you buy recording studios.
The game also features six tokens with an ABBA connection: the Napoleon hat (from the ABBA hit ‘Waterloo'), a platform boot, a vinyl record, a money bag (a nod to ABBA’s classic ‘Money, Money, Money’), a telephone (relating to the early ABBA single ‘Ring Ring’), and Björn’s star-shaped guitar (which he used in the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest).
ABBA Monopoly is out now.
