The 21-year-old shot to fame in 2011 after appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (that same year, a video of her dancing at a Los Angeles Clippers game went viral, and her popularity soared). She's appeared on the covers of Vogue Italia, British Vogue, CR Fashion Book, Cosmopolitan, Elle, GQ, Jalouse, Sunday Times Style and Esquire, and was photographed by Annie Liebovitz for the 100th anniversary cover of Vanity Fair earlier this month.
Upton also has a connection to the racing world, having won five world equestrian youth division championships as a teen. "I am so looking forward to being a guest of Emirates and the Victoria Racing Club at the Emirates Melbourne Cup," she said.
"I am excited to visit Flemington racecourse and to experience the fashion spectacle and, of course, the horses. I've always wanted to go to Dubai, so I'm thrilled about soaking up the atmosphere in the Emirates marquee and being part of the world famous event."
