Nambour is often the brunt of jokes when it comes to towns on the Sunshine Coast, but these days that's all starting to change.
Formerly a bustling agricultural town that revolved around its sugar industry, the town fell into hard times when the iconic Moreton Sugar Mill closed its doors in 2003. Fast forward to 2015 and the cheap rent prices in Nambour are beginning to draw in young and innovative entrepreneurs from all over the Sunshine Coast.

Hip cafés, trendy bars and vintage stores and starting to pop up all over the town and Nambour is slowly evolving into an artistic and cultural hub. It's a change that's not unlike what happened with the Meat Packing District in New York and West End in Brisbane.
The Nook & Cranny is one such venue to have emerged out of Nambour's ever changing landscape, and it's not hard to see why it's already been such a huge success.

The Nook & Cranny not only serves as a hang out for all of the cool cats in the region, it also doubles as a music venue, showcasing the best in music that the local area has to offer.
The venue plays host to a plethora of different acts each week, as well as hosting weekly shows including an Open Mic Night after dark every Wednesday and the popular To The '90s & Beyond Vinyl sessions on Friday nights. Sunny Coasters can also catch local acts Barry Charles on 28 May and Zac Gunthorpe on 31 May.
