Adelaide's own Flinders Street will light up this month for the second year of its revamped market, attracting the hobbyists and creative spirits Adelaide is home to. This year, however, the market will play host to a new theme and collaboration with Etsy: Home Sweet Home.
Lovers of interior design, handmade crafts, food, furniture and more can expect to be blown away by the two-day event, which promises to bring the best in all things crafty.
Packed into Flinders Street's big blue shed will be an abundance of food and fun, and a tiny peek into the inventive and extraordinary minds of local creators.
Wonder What You Were
Since 1999, the eclectically-diverse market – previously known as the Boat Shed Market – has invited Adelaide residents in with open arms, evolving year after year until a massive revamp in 2014. Thanks to new management and a new name, the event has expanded, aiming to reach audiences far and wide.
The Scent Candle Co.
Rugs, vases, vinyl records, mirrors, lamps and cushions are just some of the bits and pieces Adelaideans will stumble upon as they make their way through the exciting homemade stalls. After a browse of the material goods, coffee and delicious lunch stalls will be on offer as well.
Rare Hare Designs
Home Sweet Home is an extension of Flinders Street Markets and a collaboration with Etsy. It will move imagination and expression into the forefront, showcasing local designers and their ability to tirelessly push themselves in order to provide the best in creative design and production.
Home Sweet Home takes place at Adelaide's Flinders Street Market 21-22 November.
