Located in the heart of Adelaide's CBD, The Market Shed is an old, undercover shed that has been converted to encourage and entice local community spirit in what has become a bustling, inner-city marketplace.
Senses stimulated and souls are nourished in the southern heart of the city every Sunday (9am-3pm) as The Market Shed comes to life. A keen focus is on certified organic, sustainable and local produce, connecting back with the land, soil and food.
Once shoppers have filled their bag of goodies, they're welcome to place their bag in the cool room and meet with family and friends for coffee or brunch and enjoy live musicians. Dishes are made in The Market Shed using seasonal, local, organic and whole foods by a wonderful bunch of stall holders who are called 'The Market Shed Family'. You can even enjoy an organic pizza cooked in a wood oven.
Celebrating the diversity of cultures in the Shed, The Market Shed staff enjoy sharing and embracing together, their love of food, connecting people with food and arts, conversation and likes. Shoppers will find handmade and seasonally picked produce at market prices.
The Market Shed on Holland St is open every Sunday from 9am-3pm. Look out for their Twilight Markets and food + wine events, which are held every now and then on Saturday afternoons. Let's have fun and share.
