Brisbane City Council's Green Heart Fair will return next month and showcase entertainment and green living tips for those of all ages interested in bettering our environment.
The free-of-charge fair will accommodate those who are interested in organic gardening seminars, cooking demonstrations from Paul and Blair of My Kitchen Rules, DIY projects, eco- friendly fashion and event solutions and solar energy and sustainable home insulation ideas, just to name a few of the activities offered by more than 40 sustainability organisations and community groups.
The fair will also host local Brisbane musicians Cheap Fakes, Band of Frequencies and Danny Widdicombe.
For the kids there's the opportunity to plant and take home their own veggies and herbs as well as watching native wildlife and oceanic shows, a giant slide and jumping castle and an appearance from Peppa Pig and George in their ‘Taking Turns Show’. Our Queensland Reds will also be at the Green Heart Fair, sharing tips with young aspiring rugby players.
Practical, cheap and easy tips on how to recycle and reducing the rising cost of living will be on offer as well as the Expressive Bikes stunt show, food sampling, freebies, an interactive community arts project and even some big prizes to be won.
