Ever wondered how major world events affect the traffic of porn sites? Well, the folks at Pornhub have, and it turns out there were a lot of horny Denver Broncos fans last night.
As you'd expect, porn viewership was down during the game itself, especially in Denver and Seattle (where the number of PornHub viewers dropped by 51% and 61%, respectively).
But a funny thing happened after the game. Heartbroken residents of Denver, feeling down after their team's utter annihilation at the hands of the Seahawks, needed to pick themselves up and, uh, dust themselves off.
They took to PornHub to raise their spirits — traffic was 10.8% higher than average straight after the game in Denver, and 7.6% higher than average in Colorado State as a whole.
(In Seattle and Washington State, porn viewing figures stayed down — 17.2% and 11.3% lower than the average, respectively. There were champagne bottles to be popped, after all.)
So, what does this all mean? Well, for one thing, it means there were a lot of awkward Super Bowl parties in Denver...
