Soul Collective director and wellbeing advocate, Claire Quince, believes many of us are not taking enough time out for ourselves and it could be affecting our mental health.
“Busy people need to take time out for themselves and feedback from our clients tells us that just doesn’t happen enough in today’s way of life,” she says.
To help people realise the need for self-care, Soul Collective has organised a Feel Good Field Day on Sunday 24 May at the Victoria Park Golf Centre in Brisbane. The event is a fundraiser for beyondblue and 100 percent of the proceeds of the event will be donated to the charity.
The Feel Good Field Day features an impressive line-up of psychologists, life coaches and wellness experts presenting five workshops on topics: mindfulness, nutrition, the balance between physical and mental health, how your brain and body responds to lifestyle factors and intuition vs fear. “Event participants can expect to learn how to care for all aspects of themselves including their physical body, mind, inward connection and lifestyle. It will be an upbeat day and I can guarantee that people will be leaving the event with a new lease on life,” Mrs Quince says.
According to beyondblue, more than three million Australians currently experience depression and anxiety. “The Feel Good Field Day is designed to prompt people to be aware, to take time for themselves and to take small steps on the way to wellbeing.”
