A new study has questioned 3000 'everyday Australians' who they hate and love most in Australia's big, bad world of celebrity; and research firm, Pureprofile, has compiled the top 10 in each category.
Rather than showcasing mild dislike and amiable adoration, this list pulls no punches and jumps to the nether end of each side of the spectrum, showcasing those who we apparently truly hate and love, regardless of whether we were initially aware of their existence. As Australians, it can be seen from the lists below that we can be both amazingly consistent yet full of surprises, with many of our much-loved homegrown talent retaining the highly-coveted top spots, while it seems we are now expressing regret via this poll about our choices at the ballot box.

Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana took out the top three on the most loved list, joined by other bubbly personalities such as comedian Anh Do and eternal golden girl Olivia Newton-John, whilst it can be announced that we nationally now loathe the man we used to adore – disgraced artist and television personality Rolf Harris.

Harris took out the (possibly) equally as coveted top spot of most hated celebrity in Australia, chucking former holder, shock-jock Kyle Sandilands, to the kerb, and beating Prime Minister The Hon. Tony Abbott by a nose. Joining the leader of our country in the bottom 10 are fellow politicians Joe Hockey, Clive Palmer and Pauline Hanson, whilst Sandilands remains present at number three.
