After a nationwide, sell-out tour in early 2014, The Coronas are bringing their live show to Australia to tour their 2014 album, ‘The Long Way’.
The band moved to London last year. Which matters because, as anyone in Ireland will tell you, The Coronas are a Dublin band. “As soon as we moved, everything we’d hoped for started to happen,” says singer Danny O’Reilly.
“We’d always believed that if we got big enough back home, someone would sign us. Three albums in, we realised it was up to us to make that happen.”

Ahead of the lads tour next month, they want to dispel a few Irish untruths… i ndáiríre?
1. Bad Language
Despite their persistent presence in film and TV over the years, no Irish person has ever said the phrases "top of the morning to ya" or "to be sure to be sure"... ever.2. Lack Of Leprechauns

A wise man once said that God created whiskey to stop the Irish from taking over the world; well this may be true but we're not all alcoholics. In fact, a recent study showed there is actually one man in the south-west corner of the country who doesn't drink.4. Fighting Irish
Perhaps this one goes hand in hand with number three, but the Irish do have a reputation for being a tad rowdy and enjoying the odd ruckus. But as a nation we're actually pretty tame (apart from Conor McGregor). In fact we have stayed neutral in all of the world wars.{youtube}zOgao7UNw3E{/youtube}
5. Humour Me
Don't ask us about our feelings or our insecurities, even Freud said of the Irish that we are the only nation 'impervious to psycho-analysis', but we do, however, have a reputation for being a lot of fun to be around.
