Timomatic And Emma Chow Recognised At JMC Awards

Timomatic and Emma Chow have been recognised for their contributions to the creative industries.


Both are alumni of JMC Academy and were in attendance at the opening of the Academy's new Ultimo campus. Singer-songwriter and dancer, Timomatic, rose to fame as a contestant on 'So You Think You Can Dance' in 2009 — and Emma is co-host and producer of the award-nominated Mike E and Emma radio breakfast show on The Edge 96.1



Last week's function was hosted by radio and tv presenter, film critic, award-winning technology journalist, author and the host of SBS's live nightly news show 'The Feed', Marc Fennell.

Four past students were recognised for their contributions to the Entertainment Industry:

Tim Omaji aka TIMOMATIC – Outstanding Contribution to Creative Industries for Music Performance
Daniel Brown - Outstanding Contribution to Creative Industries for Audio Engineering
Emma Chow - Outstanding Contribution to Creative Industries for Entertainment Business Management
Charles Duncombe - Outstanding Contribution to Creative Industries for Film and
Television Production



James Reyne, who was a guest lecturer in song-writing at JMC Academy, also attended the launch which saw performances from previous student bands, Mickey Pye and Matt Price & The Double Black.

Also in attendance were guests such as Peter Garrett, Damien Trotter, Reg Mombassa, Rob Hirst, John Sidoti MP and Alex Greenwich MP.

JMC Academy offers Degrees and Diplomas in Music, Audio Engineering, Film and Television Production, Entertainment Business Management, 3D Animation and Game Design.
